The band General Surgery hails from Sweden and is releasing their debut upon the masses. "Left Hand Pathology" (is there a suggestion to the Entombed album?) comes after a lot of demo's, splits and EPs. Originally the album is released by Listenable and later on as a vinyl release by Power It Up from Germany. Although the songs are short but the pleasure is of long duration. General Surgery plays a mixture of death and grind with a funny touch. Nothing to be taken serious but a bloody good time. Spare with the melody but more the rapidness with the breaks and even more faster. A guitarlead now and then or a groovy rhythm. General Surgery is not opening new doors but with this release they hammer on with a twink to Carcass.
