Emeth/Eternal Bleeding - Split review by Jesse A Lambertson exclusively for BRUTALISM.com Grodhaisn Productions has delivered to the international world of metal some superb acts of metal such as Cutterred flesh (one of my favorites), Diftery, and of course Attack of Rage. But now (actually a year and a half ago), another band on their roster, Eternal Bleeding, teamed up with Belgian metal band, Emeth from Brutal Bands Records, and released a SPLIT CD. Emeth opens the CD with total brutal death. The opening track is called “Concentric Diversions” and loops a sound like an eating reptile followed by a human yelp for like 10 seconds until the real musical pain begins. Emeth has released other albums (they in fact have a brand new one out on Brutal Bands), and their experience, technical abilities, and production value brings something awesome to the table. The vocals on their collection of tunes on SPLIT are very powerful brutal death vox, and the guitars hammer away at the wall of reality with equal strength to the drums. Reality will crack I think. Clearly Emeth is a polished band. There exists in these five included tracks, a professionalism that many metal acts lack. All their tracks are awesome, even the live version of “Manifestation.” Eternal Bleeding is something else entirely. They have developed more long the lines of brutal death’s sicker gory side. The second track in their five track collection on the SPLIT of absolute brutal death is called “Intenstinalgrinder.” The drums are fast and pounding and the guitars are all over the place in violent jumps all around the fret board; highs to low, screeches, lows to hi, and more screeches. Tongue flapping pleasure indeed. “Intestinalgrinder” is a track for all fans of brutal death. All five tracks are just as amazing, but this track, besides laying out all that fret work and drum pounding, also plays it straight grind for many segments in the track while the vocalist Lucas Lancko growls his heart out. Very physical metal and of course this means that my ears have experienced that BRUTALISM pain and pleasure again from Grodhaisn Productions. This is a band and a label that I will continue to support until… ….whenever. Emeth is up there for me too, just in a different way. I am more a fan of the gory side of brutal death, but Emeth’s professional style grabs me too by the ears and shakes until they bleed.
