Dawnbringer is a one man band from the US that consist of Chris Black (drummer of Pharaoh). Here in 2006 he releases a new album called "In Sickness And In Dreams" (his latest album was from 1998). In this 25 minutes you get guitar oriented heavy metal tunes. Short songs that are leaded by fluent riffings with good leads. Chris' vocals are various in style from growling to high screams, for the guitars he uses 2 session members. Dawnbringer uses its influences from various metal bands and styles but try to give it an own sauce. But I think all is almost done before but the big pro of Dawnbringer are the guitars which give you catchy riffs and nice leads. An album for those who like the heavy metal but with sidesteps.
