Morbid Angel meets Impaled Nazarene in a dark alley somewhere in California. Insatiable was released last Halloween, a release date usually appropriate for albums from bands like King Diamond. The relentless, proficient brutality offered here likewise fits the hallowed release date. This album contains elements of grindcore and early 90’s death-thrash, with chord progressions and harmonies that hearken to Morbid Angel during their formative years and tempo changes executed with tight precision. The production does justice to each aspect of their sound, especially the soaring guitar solos. (review Dave Wolff)
