After their 2002 release "Verwoesting/Devastation" Sammath returns with "Dodengang". Band chief Jan is doing all instruments but get the help of drummer Koos. Together they delivered a high class black metal album. Raw vocals over long duration songs that change in tempo frequently, A nice balance between the fast parts and the dwelling mid tempo. Guitars with furious and sharp riffs but unfortunately no cranky leads. An album that is massive and destructive and certainly when you played it a couple of times you discover the maturity of this release.
