Ladies and Gentlemen - here it is: the long awaited new full length album of Dutch gore worshippers Rompeprop. If you´re familiar with their previous recordings, you´ll certainly know what to expect from “Gargle Cummics”. If you don´t know the band yet: imagine a cocktail of brutal Goregrind, utter harmonizer burps and a cool dose of sick humour. Starting this one with the funny introduction “Quackquack” and the sensitive titled track “Foreskin Fart”, these Dutch sickos are on their way to claim the Goregrind crown. Unfortunately I´m not too familiar with their native language, but I´m pretty sure there´s a lot to laugh about if you translate some of the other titles. But coming back to the music right now. Rompeprops excretions are of course nothing really new or innovative, but I like the general impression of “Gargle cummics”. Faster parts turn into simple and bone-crushing slower stuff and then back to a controlled chaos again. The before mentioned harmonizer voice adds some extra sickness and makes sure that there´s no space for commercial bullshit or clean vocals. Nice! A few samples here and there help to underline the morbid creations (e.g. the vomiting and spitting in “Horrable Hangover” - by the way one of the outstanding tracks). Contrary to a lot of other Goregrind bands, Rompeprops newest release convinces with a powerful sound and a pretty unusual cover artwork. Of course it shouldn´t hide the fact that this release is brutal as fuck and totally free of trendy crap. Fortunately the guys of Rompeprop still don´t give a shit about conventions and have the guts to cover a nontypical song like the immortal Steppenwolf classic “Born To Be Wild” and even rename it to display their passion for porn. A total playing time of almost 34 minutes is more than enough to turn your living room into a bloodsoaked pit. Bizarre Leprous Productions would be well advised to keep this band under their wings. The result is sick, gory and disturbing - Just the way I like it. Check “Gargle Cummics” out if you dare or if you simply like this kind of audio carnage.
