Some people say that Putrefy is the latest Northern Irish band to hit the scene, though Putrefy has been in the mix of the underground for quite some time now. With the release of there 1993 demo which was titled Presumed dead, they've released numerous demoes and a MCD. Finally, here is the long awaited full length from the gore soaked death/grind masters. 2005 was indeed a great year for the Goregrind and Deathgrind scene, with so many sick releases. Now I have another sick release to add to 2005's glory. Putrefy is straight forward gore death/grind, lots of sick disgusting riffs, with a very catchy and evil guitar sound. Putrefy is finally a band that I have come across who knows how to use the blast beat correctly!! Not only does this band Putrefy know how to use the blast beat correctly, but they know how to lay down some very sick riffing, a variation of mid-tempo slams and out of control speed, this is where the blasts are put to use correctly. Vocally this album made no mistakes whatsoever. Disturbing duo vocals, at times the vocals are harmonized and at times are not. So the duo vocals become more effective in this album. When mixing up harmonized and plain guttural death metal vocals. This album is great to add to your collection, consider buying this or continue being a worthless homosexual. (review by Kolton)
