This is a one man operation from the United States, that one man being Coronzon who is solely responsible for what we are looking at here. His monicker is the name of a celestial intelligence which came to light in transcripts of conversations which happened between these beings and an alchemist called Edward Kelly. The album and song titles you may notice are not in English, the more Satanically versed among you will recognise the language as Enochian which is prominent in the works of Aleister Crowley. For those of you still with me, the albm title translates to The Secrets of Truth are of the Secret Wisdom. Those who are more interested can request translations of the lyrics from the man himself who can be contacted on MySpace.
This promises great things with the shroud of mystery that seems to shroud the band but alas it is not to be for me. We have mid paced blackened metal which owes a lot to the punkish attitude that Darkthrone bring to the table but it is not half as good as Darkthrone. It does not land, I am sure there will be cvlt people that will be knee deep in this but tracks 1 and 7 are groaning, literally a man groaning.
I do not know what more to say here, on paper it looks great but at the same time it simply does not live up to the expectations.
