We are named HEAD CLEANER and we were formed in the beginning of 2002. We belong to DEATH/CORE/GRIND scene and we are from Thessaloniki in Greece. The thematology of our lyrics is characterized by social and political subject.
We recently released our first full-length material under the name ’INTELLECTUAL OXYGENATION«. It consists of ten tracks which are the result of a mixture between DEATH METAL, HARDCORE and GRINDCORE in a trial to create something more personal and unique.
All members of HEAD CLEANER were also members of other bands for many years,in the past, getting experience of recordings and live shows. The vocalist of the group was a member of the band HOMO IRATUS (ARCTIC MUSIC GROUP) and the guitarist is also a member in another band called DISEMBOWEL.

Please give us a short introduction of yourself?
We were formed in the beginning of 2002.We belong to death/core/grind scene and we are inspired from bands like Napalm Death, Brutal Truth, Terrorizer, Ministry etc. In the end of 2003 we finished the recordings of our first full-length material ''Intellectual Oxygenation''.
How is metal life in Greece? How is it for metal fans?
In Greece metal life is at a good level. There are a lot of competent bands in all metal styles and fans support them in every way. I can say that fans here are characterized by a feeling of enthousiasm and they are really open-minded to accept anything new.
Is it a nice country for vacation? Why?
It is well-known that Greece is the ideal country for vacation especially for summer because of the excellent beaches (or bitches) and islands.
Are there many metalshops? How do the fans obtain music and merchandise?
There are many metalshops in all the big cities where fans can buy stuff. (CDs, t-shirts, DVDs etc.) The only problem is that it's difficult to find material from underground releases.
Are the 'famous' bands playing in Greece? Do you remember some memorial gigs you visit?
Yes, of course. Many ''famous'' bands often give live shows, especially in Athens and Thessaloniki.
In smaller cities there is no possibility to see a ''big'' band. Some memorial gigs i remember are the live shows of Napalm Death, Hateplow and Impaled Nazarene.
Is it easy for you to play live? What gig do you remember the most and why?
It's not very easy because there are not many places for live shows. We are a new band and we have not many gigs in our way so far but every time we play live we have a really good time.
Do you follow the European triumph tour of the Greek football team? It would be great to see them win tomorrow.
Sure, it would be great for Greece to win the European cup. I'm very glad for our football team and i really believe that tomorrow we're gonna raise the cup.
Describe the feeling after the games that were won? What is the typical way to celebrate them in Greece?
Believe me that i cannot describe the feeling after the games. Here in Greece we have a special way to celebrate our success, not only in football games but in every important moment of our country. The only i can tell is that there is a hysterical situation.
Do you also follow the upcoming Olympic games? Do you practice a sport yourself?
It's really nice that Greece has this summer the Olympic Games because they were consecrated the ancient Greece. I don't practice a sport. I'm not actually a sport guy.
What kind of work do you do? How satisfying is it?
I'm a photographer. I'm very satisfied with my work because it's very creative and not oppressive.
Are there any jobs you would like to do? And which never?
As i told you i'm very satisfied with my job.The only thing for sure is that i would never work for the army.
Is there anything you wanna say to promote Head Cleaner?
Check out our debut album ''Intellectual Oxygenation''. You're gonna find it very interesting. I think it's gonna satisfy every fan of the extreme sound because it's a mixture between death metal, hardcore and grind core.
How do you gonna promote the band to the metal scene?
We are looking forward for some live shows and we hope that will give some of them in other countries.
