On February, 27th 2010, the “Goregrind Over Europe” Tour made a detour to Wermelskirchen, Germany. The Dutch purveyors of gory extremity (Rompeprop, Cliteater and Rectal Smegma) joined forces with the German support acts Mucupurulent and Erotic Gore Cunt. It all took place at AJZ Bahndamm, a small anarchistic club in the middle of Wermelskirchen.
The show began around 8 pm with Erotic Gore Cunt from Aurich, Germany. The guys entered the stage with weird costumes and a lot of youthful enthusiasm to present the songs from their first full length release “The Gore Clit Arise”. Unfortunately the show wasn´t very entertaining and the whole stuff reminded me of Porngrind pioneers Gut. If you´re into this style of music, feel free to check Erotic Gore Cunt out, but to be honest: it´s still a long way for this newcomer act from Northern Germany.

After a short break, Rectal Smegma started to grind their way through everyone´s ears. The crowd went crazy as fuck and partied to the short and gory tracks. If you´d compare Rectal Smegma with the opening act, it should be clear this bunch of Dutch perverts has lots of live experience. A good show indeed and I´m sure they sold shitloads of merch thereafter.
Mighty Cliteater were up next and all I can say about their gig is: FUCKING AWESOME!!! The fans went even more crazy and the band radiated a high amount of vitality and delight in playing. “Masticating On Maggots”, “Porn Of The Dead”, “Cock And Love”,… what else do I have to say?! The Cliteater gig was one of the best Grind shows I ever witnessed. Well done!

I´m still wondering why Mucupurulent played as the co-headliner that night. This act from Baden-Württemberg, Germany didn´t release anything in the past four years and in my opinion they lost a huge fan base. However, their Grind n´ Roll style found its friends, but nearly 50 % of the crowd went back to the bar or to the merchandise booth.
Rompeprop headlined the “Goregrind Over Europe” Tour and lots of people were awaiting this gig. And let me tell you - no one got disappointed. Rompeprop did what they do best: spreading their bloodsoaked messages by playing groovy Goregrind with extreme harmonizer burping and a nice sense for aesthetic song titles like “Embryoyo” or “Dislocated Purple Stoma”. It was a pleasure as usual to enjoy Rompeprop´s performance and I guess the band enjoyed the show, too.

Overall, it was a cool event with three very entertaining acts from the Netherlands and two mediocre Grind outfits from Germany. The sound was pretty good and beneficial for every band and I´m sure the whole tour was a big success for everyone involved.
