There are lots of single musicians such as Shawn Whitaker, Mike O’Hara, and Peter Hasselbrack who appear nowadays with the complex arts to make their bands in death metal out from the difficulty of humanism that often hinders the prolific value and that is so meaningful to progress scene. Forward to its palatial platform from Mexican scene, Markus E. Malkavelkian through death metal and gore grind backgrounds has indubitably widened the method and built some defensible bands rowed the slamming advance more than just a while rhythms. A step farther to the landscape after Disgorge era with depends the horrid brutality and guttural scale fastening the sub-weakness of awareness . Fortunately, he is now here to explain some interpretation regarding his endeavors with some friends to create something real of his bands’ essences. It’s fancy time to go to Mexico, buy a sombrero, make picture besides cactus while walking under the hot sun but everything would be perfect to the future so what are you doing, (Hermano) still hide behind the computer?
Haha... you could say that dude, haha. For the moment I'm working on side projects that i have, you don't know what I feel down but it's something i love and i like it. It's just a weariness that with a good cold beer I can disappear , haha.
Gangrena are one of the premiere bands of your career possibly and you all are now in preparation of fine albums wouldn’t you give a little description about this band? And the others, such as Malka as your new commandment?
GANGRENA is actually the band that we are trying to make known, is the project that more we have. MALKA, VIRULENT VASECTOMY, BLOODLETTING and the others are just bands that have been created with friends from around the world. The only to which I'm devoting time is Malka, i still work in the EP, GASTRECTOMY and the others are just songs that work every time we have some free time.
As your musicality written in some opinion, slamming death metal and brutal gore grind are mostly influenced to your path and it’s unique where the guttural incision is upon the middle measure. Would you give some explanation, wouldn’t? This is enough chance to tell that your way.
Unfortunately i'm not the musician who wants to be, haha… so anything that i created is based on what i can do with my hands, believe me that i like to do things much better, but I don't have the ability to create them haha so i am very limited, we never thought something as simple like GANGRENA still going to have great success. With what we've done so far in many countries are beginning to turn to see the mexican music and that is enough for me. I think that GANGRENA is what we would call "easy to digest".
“The Zombie Survival Society” is an enormous album by Gangrena recently with heavyweight in brutality and invulnerable gore ever won in the country due the multiple scale of horror also grinding dimension. It’s not an advance if you can’t explain the substances for a while, how better is it than the past concerning the austerity?
Here in Mexico there are a lot of good bands but unfortunately most Mexicans eat what comes from elsewhere. In fact a friend showed GANGRENA to a "True Metal Person" but my friend told him that the musicians are German, he heard all the albums and became a true fan, then when my friend told him that we are Mexicans hey stepped aside disks and continued looking bands. Such people is that which exists here. No matter how good or bad your Band, i remember that years ago the scene was too close but now gradually more people attend the shows, but the situation "ONLY I SUPPORT IF YOU ARE MY FRIEND" will continue to exist forever.
How regarding the musicians that you had invited in this album? An impossible album have ever composed, how manner until they come to your songs?
In fact it was actually very simple, what happened was that when we edit the album "THE ZOMBIE CHRONICLES" already had the songs ready from "THE ZOMBIE SURVIVAL SOCIETY", we decided to release the first album for reasons that had more rhythms, then almost we had a year to find bands that we liked and make the invitation. For example, i contact RAPPED BY PIGS vocalist of Peru and when i send him the song he told me that that we returned to record everything because he didn't like the sound, then we say thanks him and continued looking. The People of EXTIRPATING THE INFECTED agreed to participate with us but i send many mails and they never respond. i contacted many Mexican bands to see if they wanted to be part of the album but all we contacted only one responded but we had already found another vocalist. But all other vocalists believed in our band and we are eternally grateful for that.
About the orientation, the U.S death metal is really stuck on the base and culturally Disgorge be a hard substantiality to affect what kind of your aggression but, what bands do inspire you to lining your originality?
I started with bands like SUFFOCATION, MORBID ANGEL, CANNIBAL CORPSE, BRUJERIA, and more stuff, i listened many genres like Black, Thrash, and others but spend too much time before I could hear something that really fill me, I love I love a good riff, with power, of those riffs that make you headbang automatically, and there were few bands that made it. GORGASM was one of them... they riffs didn't last long, hahaha… was frustrating hahaha, but over the years thanks to MYSPACE i could find very good bands with an excellent quality.
Personally, S.A.N.G.R.E and Gangrena are your old bands but it’s just about 3 years by now. Had you ever made or played extreme bands before those your bands established? Surely the readers wanna know about your story in music, just remind us…!
No, we never had shows with those bands, were more virtual stuff, only with GANGRENA. Many years ago i was lead singer of a death metal band named MANIACAL, we were lucky with the material but the members wanted to leave school to enter fully into the music and I left because I preferred to continue studying. From there always look for bands to fill my expectations, but always had something in them that i didn't like, often i was with children who was only there for the girls or because they trying to look like bad people, very few people who've done for love of art.
I was with some bands but I never take things as seriously as now
Practicing is really important to manage the ability or to gathering the power in the stages but that’s so remembering you have 5 bands on the activity, what practices do usually do for that things? So forth, (the programming drum) may you give the tips to create a song? It’s difficult to organize each element with no analogue.
All bands were from songs that have evolved up to the sound of GANGRENA and there wasn´t live shows with any of it. I talk with members of GANGRENA and thought it would be good idea to add the MALKA songs to the show but we're still thinking about it. And do you want a tip to create a song? It´s Easy dude !
Always try to write songs that you like yourself, don't do it for fame or money, creates riffs that you love and when you hear it you must feel that inner joy. Nothing is garbage, if you don't like the sound, change the rhythm of the drums and see how great it is when you reach the perfection you were looking for. There's nothing like sitting down to listen to your music and smile with excitement when you hear singing or the memory of how much work you do make a great riff, remember that sometimes the most simpler is what most people like.
Who had tutored you additionally to build the drumming session and what are equipment nor software you often use? What do the reasons take the value cause many ways to find the drummers lose the bad effects from the player health?
We use Addictive Drums, Guitar Pro, Ez Drummer ... everything we can, we are people who learned only pushing buttons and we created things slowly, we never had a rush to do something, or want to have live shows one day to another, we never thought that music was going to give out.. When we made the split "EMBALMED IN GORE" I met CHARLES BEAST BUTCHER of SATANIC BUTCHER band, and from there we decided to bring reality to GANGRENA. We started practice and even there our level was too low and in less than 2 weeks and we had to VICTOR DEBASSTADOR playing bass. 3 months later we were already taking our first shows. But in all that time Victor and I were trying to give advice to Charles to learn faster, impressive was the level that Charles acquired so quickly.
Until where you have the gigs to represent the bands and will you make (more) huge concerts later outside Mexico? The border is still weaponized like New Mexico in the annihilation as the stupid uranium is in celebration to frighten nothingness . Wouldn’t you like to say?
Well in fact have been local shows, we've never played in other places outside of Mexico, although we would love to do, the problem is the money needed to get out, and promoters who confide in our work are very rare. But maybe someday these encourage us to do a tour in South America, but would die if from europe hahaha… my personal dream is to play in Indonesia, people beyond appreciates the metal and play there would be amazing.
Come back to the country, what after Brujeria, Mortuary and Disgorge ( watched they had played gorydamn especially in Russia) the splendor happens in the scene? Mexican trademark is really splendid however the new bands are still awaited, what bands are in the potentiality besides your bands?
The people of BRUJERIA are not from Mexico, i hate when people think that, they are of California or do not know where but Mexicans are not. DISGORGE are so fucking good but it isn't unique, there are bands like THANATOLOGY, SURGERY, INFECTED ASSHOLE, MASSACRE MUST BEGIN and others... it's just that Mexicans prefer to support someone who comes from another country than what's here, maybe it would be nice to create some idea where we could make known Mexican material and people in the world begins to turn to see us.
Zapatista, that’s the vast name of separatists in Mexico and Latinas America and many all reported respecting Mexico politics . Where the hell are they gone to kill dollars? Do our friends in Mexico stay in tranquility?
The situation in the country is difficult, but people are usual. Violence occurs only in certain places, there are many others where the situation is distint. Mexico is a beautiful place but unfortunately the corruption in government and the stupidity of a few make Mexico look like a warlike country but it's actually pretty quiet. It's a war that our president will declare the drug trade, but if it were not so maybe the situation would be worse
To avoid the boring time, what do you usually organise or have you often gone to the some places in order that to find the freshness? So where are the beautiful places in Mexico you always visit and you recommend? Let’s find the white sand and the iced coconut.
It depends a lot of people, in Mexico there are all sorts of weather, for the heat are the beaches, to the cold mountains and some other places to go camping, there are places for diving in underground caverns, KAYAK etc, you can practically do anything, but more than that is the company you have, sometimes it is good to go on vacation to other places but sometimes staying home and drinking beer, tequila, mezcal or Pulque with friends is enough. haha
The flawless artworks are in the album collections from your a few bands, and it’s interesting to value your creativity. Who/whom have handled the artwork section for a phenomenon graphic or cover illustration? It may be a ridiculous thing to draw a cow and grass.
Are illustrations of various authors who have ceded the rights to use the images, recently a friend helped us with the new logo of GANGRENA and made me one with my name, but so far everything has been in a non professional way. As I repeat, we never think that any of the bands will liked someone. Haha….
What things do you really hate and like all about the explosion of death core in scene today’s where some subgenres will emerge in the future complexly? Is any longer room for the old-school power from 1990s metal/ death metal later in your view?
Here in Mexico many think that the DEATHCORE is just a fad and that is why they don't support the scene, is the same idea that i have of many MEXICAN PORNO GORE GRIND BANDS bands that have sullied the mexican metal. Sometimes they are just kids who want to play like ROMPEPROP, AHUMADO GRANUJO, COCK AND BALL TORTURE and others, but at stupid levels, not even take time to equalize his stuff or make a good cover, they grab any image of a girl licking her tits to another, record they material with a cell phone and its done ! already have a band. Many people stayed in music before, Cannibal Corpse for example, are very good, excellent musicians but today there is more variety of genres and bands for all tastes and enclosed in a band and say that the rest is shit, so i think that is wrong. There are children making music, but there are also musicians making art, no just in DEATHCORE, its in ALL genres.
Computerisation means a digital settlement, and we have used the term everyday in exaggeration for the case, what is the truly meaning of computerization for you wherein your musicality sticks deep to the advance? The bad impact is infront the conscience and we couldn’t know about the worst, so just give the opportunity to be still aware.
That's what I commented, today that technology is accessible to many people, if I can make music without having studies about it anyone can edit their own material, give a better sound for example, but if we are still stupid people we are, though they put us to the best technology in our eyes, we always try to go for the easier side.
Believe it or not many people here in Mexico do not buy computers because adults are afraid to learn or do not buy a new phone because I do not know how to use.
As continuation to the future, what are your bands in the potential minds to create the finest albums you have proposed? We really recommend to Bloodletting and Virulent Vasectomy as their increased untainted brutal death even aggressive formed.
Undoubtedly, BLOODLETTING, GASTRECTOMY and MALKA, we are working hard to create quality music and good stuff, not just have more fans or doing "commercial" music. We are trying to show that we can make things right and that in Mexico there are people trying to raise awareness beyond single noise if we put time and effort. But show that something can be done either by spending time.

Extirpating The Infected - Beheading The Dead
Pighead - Cadaver Desecrator
Vomitous - Surgical Abominations Of Disfigurement
but whatever comes of Indonesia is very much worth listening to.
