Fairytale Abuse will instantly remind listeners of the glorious early releases from Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth. Perversions of Angel IV is the second release from the Denmark based band, and is definately worth noting to any black metal fan. It has all the essential elements to a great metal album, it has depth, good song structure, brutal vocals, a distinct sound, and speed. There's really not much more room for improvement with this album. One thing that sets Fairytale Abuse apart from other top Black Metal bands, is the prominent use of the keyboarder. In every song you can hear the keyboards on their own melody, not just accenting what the guitar is doing like other bands. They managed to find a keyboard player who can play without sounding childish! This album is highly recommended to fans of Black Metal especially, but even people who don't like black metal can easily find things to like with this album. (review by Cody)
