Asymmetry Festival is an annual event, taking place in Wroclaw, Poland on the long May weekend (the 2012 edition - May 3rd-5th).
The event is focused on combining, often very remote musical stylistics, in a single festival space. Stylistics like doom, drone, experimental music, stoner rock, electronics, even hip-hop - the festival line-up resembles the broad interests of the Organizers and its attendees.
Moving on to the mentioned line-up, the 2012 edition will feature performance by, among others, Killing Joke, Joe Lally (ex- Fugazi), Aethenor, Amenra, Obake, Bohren & der Club of Gore, Red Fang, Igorrr, Broken Note, Niveau Zero. However, that's not all - the crew is constantly working on some new and renown additions to the line-up. During the previous editions we have guested such acts as Godflesh, Electric Wizard, Baroness, Jesu, Kylesa, Year of No Light, Minsk, Dalek, House of Low Culture, Weedeater, Zoroaster and numerous others.
This year's edition is a special one, as the Organizers of the festival, the Firlej club (which guested the previous three editions), have decided to move it to a totally new location. The location is the City's Browar Miejski [Bourgeois Brewery] - an intriguing industrial complex from the XIXc.
