This album features a fine buffet of unholy artists/bands whom all have contributed to AFODs' atmostphere of both beauty and blasphemy.
Featured bands / Artists are as follows:

I must say that everything here is very well produced and mixed, the only fault that I personally find is with the order of the tracks. All the atmospheric sounding + epical tracks seem to follow one after the other from tracks 1 through 7 then all kicks off with a brutal punch and total change of musical style from tracks 8-15, I would have liked these tracks to have been alittle more mixed up and blended so not to put the listener into to much of one state of mind seeing that this is a musically diverse metal album but this is just my opinion on how I like to hear things (yeah I know one can always just play this on random which is what I would suggest haha).
The ultimate plus with this compilation is that is punches with total power, there is not a dull moment within these tracks, lots of diversity and full of emotion. Tracks which I personally favored were tracks "Damnation From Hell" (Secret of Darkness), "Overfield" (Belligerence), "Mindless Bodymonsters" DieVison),  "Pain For My Body" (Stigma) and "Proclaiming Death" (Infer).

All bands/artists here are from The Czech Republic as you will notice and this is an awesome album to give us a taste of what The Czech Republic has to offer the scene of dark and extreme metal. I would say it pretty much presents to us some of the best bands from the Czech scene within this compilation.

Ok let's break these bands up here shall we.

Winselland: Atmospheric Black Metal. Current line-up: Lord Aegir - Vocals, Hans von Neuberg - Guitar, Indian - Guitar, Satanda - Bass, Khonas - Drums, Troll - Keyboards. I like this band alot. Winselland play tight and have really great musicianship, presenting power and controled chaos within all their creations. Their presented track titled "Huckauf" lends a great start to this compilation using a fine blend of both traditional black metal sound with a very atmosphereic epic style, bringing it's listener into another realm in time.

Mater Monstifera: Destructor - vocals, Yvor - guitar, Archangel - guitar, Jitka - keyboards and Deemon - bass, stand as the current line-up for this black metal outfit signed with I.F.A. Mater Monstifera originally formed by in the summer of 2000 have put out several recordings and played numerous live gigs. Their presented track "Beletseri" holds both the presence of the angelic and demonic. Very heavy keyboard makes the base of this track and the bands sound in general. Love how the soft female vocals compliment the growl of the male dominating vocals. All is extrememely well put together here and lends to the eeriness of this compilations first half.

Secret Of Darkness: Awesome Melodic Black/Doom Metal presenting their unholy track titled "Damnation From Hell" which pretty much is a great representation of this band's sound. I love the uplifted beat in this track with it's chilling keyboards and deep earthy growls of the vocals. Tight riffs and great atmosphere as with all of this bands creations. This got to be one of my most favorite tracks on this album. Love how it is put together. Unfortunately I was unable to find for you the titles of who does what in this band in english so unfortunately I can only present to you the band member's names with their positions in their native language I do apologize for not being able to translate: Jméno- Vojta Sedláček, Jméno- David Polák, Jméno-Karel Vokálek. Jméno- Jirka Jína, Jméno- Honza Kejík. Again I could not find much on this band in English, as from what I can tell they have been together since 2005 and if I am wrong with this small piece of info please somebody correct me (:

Everlasting Dark: Bring to us their most killer track "At The End Of Heart" which has many unexpected changes, haunting violin with some flute, both growling male vocals nicely blended with heavenly female vocals. Heavy riffing and lots of versitility within this track. Bringing to us interestingly great Symphonic Doom Metal. Current band line-up stands as: Zdenýk Kaczor - Guitar+ Vocals, Martin Valtr' Hartl - Drums, Hana Vajènerová - Vocals + Flute, Jana Hartlová - Violin + Vocals, Michal Trendl - Bass and Petr Sova - Guitar. Everlasting Dark as been together since 1997 and over the years have been through some line-up changes, former members consist of: Laïa Špièka - Keyboards, Petr Mahr - Guitar (Fragmentary) and Aleš Hradil - Bass. I feel that this track "At The End Of Heart" was a great choice to lend to this compilation and it very much shows us what this band is about and can do.

Belligerence: This atmospheric Death Metal outfit lend a most beautifully brutal track to this compilation which displays alot of the versitilty in which this band is capable of with many smooth changes, tight musicianship,  killer riffing with calmer breaks of clean fem vocals here and there alone with soft keyboarding which are a nice contrast to the killer deep growls of this bands most awesome female vocalist Appia whos vocals correspond well with the thick mood of the percussions. I guess that I don't have to tell you that this band hails from the Czech Republic once again and are not to be confused with the UK metal/rock band holding the same name. Current line-up: Appia - Vocals, Lokwir - guitar, Kissoon - drums, loathsomE - bass, Iwan - guitar and Klobouk - guitar. Former members: exNihilo - guitar, Cryptus -keyboards, Fenrik- keyboards and Paesant - drums. This band definately play with feeling and their strong passion shows in this track.

Arch Of Hell: Line-up: Tereza - vocal, Childy - guitar, Honza - keyboards, Adam - bass and Indian - drums. Female fronted  melodic metal featuring very pretty female vocals which are complimented by heavy screetch of  male vocals. I really love the strong clear sound of the keyboards on this track and how the precussions seem to hold everything together. After checking out more music from this band I find that this track pretty much sums up their overall sound so if you are into this track you will then love this band. Very Epica influenced with some hints of Eternal Tears of Sorrow found within their style is the best way I can discribe this track and band's sound.

Abstract: This time the Cezch Republic brings to us Abstract with their Experimental and Progressive Death Metal that has been creating music since 1995. This presented track "0.100.0.4" is a chaotic sphere of melody, wild soloing and a constant beat that lets you know where you still are. Keyboards are also a bit wild within this realm and I can say that this is certainly not a track to sit down and relax to. So much going on here all the time not sure where it begins or ends . All is very well executed to show the talents of these musicians that is for sure. I kinda like the short break of piano play on the keyboard, gives one a chance to take a breather haha, it also is a good pause before the change of atmosphere which accures inorder to present some technical solo works. I really do love the strong bass here and how you can here the slapping of it's chords, this is good considering usually with a track so full as this the bass can tend to get lost in the mix but not here. This track is all instrumental and I do believe that it is this way most of what this outfit presents. I like the different feel this tracks lends to the compilation but will state that not all will appreciate it's efforts but hey cannot please everybody all the time right? Band members: Peter Lengsfeld -rythm guitar, Paul G. -lead guitar, Julius -bass, Peter G. - drums and Freedom -keyboards

DieVision: Straight up metal/Thrash filled with power and ambition. With this track is where this compilation takes on a new twist. I love the heavy phatness of this tracks base and the rough in your face vocals brings total power to this track. Some wild solowork happening here and I love the drum beats. This track is catchy, heavy, loud and just totall killer. Very easy to get into. Love how the beginning just slides you into the anarchy that happens not long into it.. From what I can tell this outfit has been together since 2006  Members consist of: Radek Popel - vocals,Tomas Kral - guitar, Vlasta,Vertat - bass, Ondrej,Bilek - drums, Zbynek and Marhoun - guitar . This track will give you an idea of what this band is about and I will say that DieVision (not to be confused with the German outfit holding the same name), is a band worth checking out if you are into that raw metal sound.

F.O.B.: Death-Hardcore ragging out and bestowing a most in your face brutal kick to this compilation. This track is tight and total killer with vocals that make the sound and soloing that goes through the roof. Heavy is putting it midly when it comes to this bands sound. This track is just a taste of what F.O.B. has to offer us. Really cool little instrumental mini breaks and love how the mood switches within this track. "Frozen" will chill your brain and make you forget that you are listening to this compilation alltogether. Will bring you to another level of mind making you wanting more in the end. Line up: Martin-drums, Corbow-bass, Bendis-guitar, Pet'a -vocals and Mára-vocals. (I do apologize if I have any of this wrong, doing the best I can with the translation or who does what in this band haha).

COLP: Thrash styled pure metal-core of course from the Cezch Republic once again lending a most pure and brutal sound to this compilation with their track "10 33" . I like the subtle changes within this track and the interesting solo work. All is put together nicely with a thick thrashy ambience and the vocals are strong and make this track work Members: Paste-guitar, BC-guitar+vocals, Peter-drums and Sad-bass. With a few albums under their belt and have been around in the scenes since the late 90's (this band used to go under the name "Colporrhaphia"), from what I could tell this track pretty much shows the listener a good idea on how this band has grown over the years and what they are capable of. If you love power I would suggest to enjoy this track and look this band up.

Stigma: Killer female fronted Death Metal. I totally love how this track kicks in and brings the blood cells to life. Total power, primal drums and chaotic guitar work make this track blow you away. I love the deep vocals of Alžběta Hejnová. This track is an awesome presentation of what this band does. This track's title "Pain For My Body" is also the title of the their most recent 2009 CD which I recommend is worth checking out.. Band members: Alžběta Hejnová-vocals, Dan Hejna -drums, Luboš Martan-guitar and Josef Sedlář-bass have been creating brutality since 1996.

Tortharry:  Brutal in your face Death is the best way I can put it when it comes to Tortharry's track "Case 7". These guys have been killing it since 1991 and have been creating genuine "wake up" music ever since haha. This track is definately a great taste of what this band can do and is a certain plus for this compilation, I personally think that this track should have appeared way earlier on in the album just to give a jump of the kind of diversity is found here. Members: Lemy - bass+back vocals, Heatly - vocals+guitar, Máca - guitars+backing vocals and Panther - drums.

Infer: Awesome Death Metal hailing from the Cezch as with every other band on this comp (don't know why I bother to keep stating this haha). The insane vocals here really make this track and  this band's sound. I totally love how everything is raw yet still remains well put together. The blast beats are just crazy and the riffing fast and tight. Love the bass lines in this and other tracks by Infer. Totally am loving this band and everything about this track. Members have been together creating blasphemy since 2002 and are: Peter - vocals/guitar, Richard - vocals/bass, Robert - drums and Marcel - guitar.

Yurpo: holds 2 tracks that close up to the end of this compilation "Terrorizer" + "Of Woods". What can I say this is a very interesting choice to end the compilation with, both tracks are loud, in your face, total brutal noise. Both tracks sound to be live and are very grindcore-ish if I must say. I personally would have broken these tracks up and blend them into the mix but it is still a great way to end the album and is definately not boring. I am sorry to report that I was unable to find any info with regards to this band not even a Myspace page ):

Awesome compilation and I highly recommend you check this one out as well as more from what these bands have to offer.

Enjoy!
