Cataract comes from Switzerland after their debut disc "With Triumph Comes Loss" they toured a lot and found time to record a new album. "Kingdom" released in May 2006 and contains 11 tracks of a mixture of thrash and hardcore. The songs are aggressive and furious. Shouty raw vocals over rhythms that would fit Slayer and Pantera easily. And that is just a point of this album. The touches of Slayer and Pantera are a bit too obviously. And makes this a bad record? Yes because you should expect a spicy follow up. No because the album is massive (good production) with intense, groovy stampede songs. Cataract is a well oiled machine that is not original but delivers a top album in the metalcore scene...
