Some short time later the band went through some lineup changes with its initial vocalists and drummers, as they did not seem skillfully fit for the ranks that was sought of them. The second drummer to join was Mordranok and our first gig we headlined in February 1999 in NJ with bands Disciples of Mockery and Evoken. He followed the band and we recorded the first demo Marching Towards Armaggedon January 2000. This demo was very limited and only few copies were released. Then in March of 2000 Zephon replaced Mordranok on drums. With the addition of Zephon, Bloodthrone became the strongest lineup to that point and everything that was missing before had seem to come together. As time marched on the reputation of the band was growing and we had gained new support from zines and fans in the scene worldwide. The band entered Pigeon Club Studios in Hoboken, NJ July 2000 and recorded its first full-length studio demo Storms of Apocalypse. The plan was too finish in time for the Mayhem show to gain the much-needed exposure. The songs were finished as planned and the band felt they were finally given justice with the completion and great production. The band continued its live assault of 2000 and had the chance to have opening slots for such cult legends as Mayhem and Dark Funeral in NYC. In the beginning of 2001 an unforeseen turn of events occurred which would alter the course of the band and history to follow. Magnus our vocalist and guitar had left the band for personal reasons so the band was in need to fill the void that stood before us. This was at a crucial time as we were going to self-finance our first release and press the cd so we had to take a step backwards to recruit new members as first priority. Captor contacted a friend from the near past, Machine whom he had known as a great guitarist to fill the ranks left by Magnus. Machines skills and abilities were soon released during the first tryouts and we all felt he was the right one for the band. His playing style and dedication to unholy metal made him a worthy soldier to our cause. As vocal try outs were underway we werent satisfied with what we had going for us with a couple of new singers and as a few weeks followed then came Demonian. The final member to the saga of Bloodthrone was found in March 2001 around the bands three year anniversary and by a chance meeting with Captor and Machine behind the walls of a dark NJ club. We had known Demonian from his band Disciples of Mockery (NJ) which he had shredded guitar for in the past. The message was out we were auditioning vocalists and he approached us about his desire to become our vocalist. Demonian was brought to the next audition session and without any doubts in all of our minds we all knew he was the one for Bloodthrone. His presence and anger can be felt through his screams of hate. Demonians vocal strength and his dedication cannot be matched or compared! He and the rest of the band are the unholy speed war machine! The storm is coming as Bloodthrone signs to Forever Underground Records in May 2001. The demo recording for Storms of Apocalypse is set for release end of June 2001 and will be distributed worldwide. Bloodthrone has engineered its own style by using intricate guitar harmonies in the place of keyboards and using the best of its writing ability to create the balance of power between high string melodies and raw brutal attack riffing. Along with its aggressive and bludgeoning drum assault and screaming vocal blasphemy the sound of Bloodthrone cannot be compared too. The message is one of darkness and blasphemy with the warning that apocalypse is among us all and there is no escape! Captor came to NJ in 1997 and has become a well known member of the underground metal community and his reputation serves him well for he has earned it through his countless attendances at all area shows in order to film and promote fellow musicians. Evil Pope- Bassist for Bloodthrone, Evil grew up mainly on Mercyful Fate, King Diamond, old Metallica, Iron Maiden, Testament, and Rush. His dedication is to keep the unholy flames of Bloodthrone burning strong Zephon- Drummer for Bloodthrone, originally from Ecuador, he started out doing time in Ecuadors Necrosis. Zephon joined the band in March of 2000 and is the most passionate and dedicated musician of Bloodthrone spending all of his free time learning new music, playing guitar and studying more drumming techniques from all of his preferred bands. Zephon has a strong Mercyful Fate and King Diamond background; he also enjoys bands like Immortal, Satryicon, Setherial, Dark Funeral, old Metallica and Emperor. Zephon with his drumming style has brought a faster more technical sound of black metal to Bloodthrone. His soul dedication is to bring unholy blasphemy and darkness within his musical talents to the drums and guitar. He wont compromise anything that would change his beliefs Machine- Lead Guitarist of Bloodthrone, Machine has been recruited as second guitarist in place of Magnus. He joined the band in February 2001. He spent time in the NJ based band Snag and has been playing guitar for 18 years. His talents include speed pick shredding never that has been seen before. He has a natural ability to pick faster than anyone in the band has ever witnessed. His influences include 80s metal such as Randy Rhoads and Slayer. He is influenced in the arts of unholy speed metal by Marduk and Enthroned. He had spent his school years trapped in Catholic school and has a deep hatred for the clergy of Christ! This hatred has spilled into his blood and has made his music filled with blasphemy. His dedication includes keeping the riffing and picking at fast battling speeds. Machine has become a most needed weapon in the war of Bloodthrone Demonian- Vocalist for Bloodthrone, Demonian was the last and final member to join the Bloodthrone army in March of 2001. He has spent time in such bands on guitar as Ripping Corpse, Disciples of Mockery, Engorge and others. Bloodthrone is his first band where he has taken the vocals on without guitar. His inspirations include thoughts of darkness, madness, and mystery. Demonians musical influences include such bands as Emperor (demo), Bathory, Hellhammer, Celtic Frost, Limbonic Art, and others of the same evils. His vocals cannot be matched, as the power unleashed through strength from within which holds the hate of a thousand screaming skulls. His dedication is true. Demonian cant be bound, no chains can hold him. With strong presence and vocal tyranny he has made Bloodthrone complete.
