This EP is recorded in 2003 and in 2006 released as a split CD but I only got a promo of their EP. Black Winter hails from Greece and is playing tatata: black metal. And not even bad. After a nice intro the furious possession takes control. Fast beats interact with mid pace tempos. Vocals are high screaming and spewing out the nihilistic lyrics. The guitars are melodic in riffing and doing some melancholic and dwelling tunes. Songs that have enough tension with the different tempos and melodies to keep attention. The sound production of this EP is well done. Curious what they are recording nowadays as these songs are already 3 years old.
