Bewitched are thrashers, for sure, and I tend to want to compare them to Kreator or S.F. Bay area thrash-metallers Exodus, but Bewitched also have elements of black metal as well. Anyhow, the vocalist is I believe a fellow by the name of "Blackheim," and he sings a bit like Paul Baloff.
And rather than a whole album of thrash-metal tunes running ragged over your soul at breakneck speeds, "Spiritual Warfare" includes some slower, gloomier tunes as well as the fast ones.
Rich chord textures that wash over the listener like a warm wave of death, with growling vocals that truly bestow a sense of bitter loss set against a rock solid rhythm section with an occasional shocking yet brief guitar solo would describe the slower tunes such as "This Is Goodbye" and "Let Darkness Come."
Drums and bass pumping steadily, furiously in support of the cold steel-bladed guitars which rip and shred through your aural indifference and make you care, along with scratchy growling vocal chants that effortlessly proceed to burn into your subconcious soze that ya don't soon forget them would describe the faster-paced up-tempo numbers such as "My Skin Loves The Steel" and "Malevolent Force Of Destruction."
BTW, nice organ at the end of the title track.
