Beneath The Frozen Soil / Negative Reaction - Split On this split release you find Beneath The Frozen Soil from Sweden and Negative Reaction from New York (USA). BTFS kicks of with 4 tracks and an intro. Raw blackened doom metal with multi styled vocals in long duration songs. The power of the band is that they create a nice atmosphere with the use of piano cello or the bass lines in the last song. With a good production they did a nice job. Negative Reaction hails from NY and plays sludge doom since 1993 and did release several items already. On this split they do 4 songs in their style of filthy guitar driven sludge with stoner edges. The vocals are screams through a soar throat that getting irritating after a while. Musically it is oke with slow grooves. At the end the split is oke where BTFS comes out the best for me.
