There are numerous albums you should own from Iron Maiden, but 'The Number of the Beast' stands higher than the rest.
'The Number of the Beast' was the third studio album released by band dating back in 1982. This album marked the debut of vocalist Bruce Dickinson and was the final appearance of drummer Clive Burr.
It was the first record for Iron Maiden to reach No 1. in the UK Albums Chart and became a Platinum in the United States. The songs "Run to the Hills" and "The Number of the Beast" were the fans favorites.
Today Abbath has premiered a brand new video entitled "Fenrir Hunts". If you have been following black metal you will know that the legendary band Immortal is no more, and this new band is led by Olve Eikemo (Abbath).
The video is a live recording of the new track and will be included on their upcoming album, which is set to release sometime in the beginning of the year.
The band commented:
We have performed 'Fenrir Hunts' live since our debut concert at Tuska festival in Finland. This led to the decision to record a few live songs properly. With the aid of a camera team, we have recorded three tracks in a live setting at the beginning of September. Along with 'Fenrir Hunts', which you can see today, there will be two cover versions coming up soon. Now, here is 'Fenrir Hunts', the first glimpse from our upcoming debut album!
We all love heavy metal, from the heavy riffs, double bass, and wicked solos, there is nothing better. But even the best solos have a precision structure to them.
To some musicians certain concepts come easy to them, if it's writing music, learning scales, or shredding a guitar. Below are some of the best heavy metal guitar solos provided by those people. The ones that make the most complex guitar solos look easy.
The songs below are all from studio albums in the heavy metal genre and they are not listed in any particular order. You will get a mix from legendary bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden and Megadeth, to some classic bands like Slayer and Pantera.Iron Maiden - Powerslave

What do talented musicians use that us regular people don’t. In our segment of What Do They Use, we will break down all the equipment that Metallica used on their latest tour.James Hetfield – Vocalist and Rhythm Guitar
For the most part James likes to use ESP and Gibson guitars and stay with mostly Mesa guitar amps. For his vocals he uses a Shure Super 55 stage microphone to bring it all together.

When our favorite bands release new albums we are excited and eager to see what they will do. But there are a few things that every fan expects to hear in the new album. As Slayer gets ready to release their eleventh studio album 'Repentless' there are a few things that I want to see in their 2015 release.Thrash Metal 101
As one of the founder fathers, when we get a Slayer album we are excepting a raw thrash metal sound. We expect nothing else, or nothing more. We don't want any cross over or experiments. Just thrash metal basic...fast riffs, double bass, and aggression.
Ignore the many pop celebrities that helped launched Jay Z’s new music streaming service. People should be concerned about the underlining positives compared that Tidal brings to the market unlike the likes of SoundCloud and other existing music apps. With Tidal doubling Spotify’s average payout, the rapper’s music service appears to be rewarding larger royalties to the artists extending streaming rights to Tidal, which could be beneficial to the metal community if they get behind this app in the coming months.
We are getting closer to the release of Cradle of Filth's new album 'Hammer Of The Witches'. July 10, 2015 is when Nuclear Blast records will be releasing their eleventh studio album.
The track below is called "Enshrined In Crematoria".
Dani Filth the vocalist for the band had this to say about the new album:
After ending the band Immortal, Abbath has been busy developing his new band 'Abbath'. You can watch them perform a new song "Fenrir Hunts", at the Tuska Open Air Metal Festival in Helsinki, Finland. The show was this last weekend on Saturday, June 27, 2015.
The new band line up includes Olve "Abbath" Eikemo, Tom Cato Visnes and Boknagar's Baard Kolstad.
A brand new song from Battlecross has been released from their upcoming album 'Rise To Power'. The new album will be released on August 21, 2015 by Metal Blade Records and you can check out the new song below is called "Spoiled".
Guitarist Tony Asta had this to say about new single:
'Spoiled' kicks in with a heavy rockin old-school vibe and progresses into a brutal more technical feel. It's also a really fun song to jam.
There has been some fan footage of Exodus performance at the Academy 3 in Manchester England. They are with Testament on the "Dark Roots of Thrash Tour II".
Their guitarist Gary Holt is not the in the lineup while they finish up the European tour as he is with Slayer working on their upcoming new album. This tour is in support of their latest album 'Blood In Blood Out' which was released back in October 14, 2014 by Nuclear Blast Records.
There is a new song from Slayer! The new song is called "Repentless", this is the self-titled track from their upcoming album. We wont see the album hit stores until September 11, 2015, but you can pre-order your copy [here].

The legendary band Iron Maiden has revealed their upcoming album 'The Book of Souls'. This new album will be a double feature and will include 11 brand new songs. This is the first time the band has ever released a double studio album.
The album is split on the songwriting, bassist and founder Steve Harris contributing to 7 of the tracks, 6 tracks by Maiden's guitarist and last track a solo composition.
Steve Harris had this to say about the new album:
We approached this album in a different way to how we've recorded previously. A lot of the songs were actually written while we were there in the studio and we rehearsed and recorded them straight away while they were still fresh, and I think that immediacy really shows in the songs, they have almost a live feel to them, I think. I'm very proud of The Book Of Souls, we all are, and we can't wait for our fans to hear it, and especially to take it out on the road next year!
Bruce Dickinson added:
Remember Dark Tranquillity's last album 'Construct' that was released in 2013. They decided to renew a new music video from the album for th track "The Science of Noise."
As we would rather hear or see some news about a new album in the works, this will have to do for now. They probably wont get started on a new album until they finish up their summer of festivals.
The festival season has just started, which is a good reason to release our very live based video clip for 'The Science Of Noise'. The bulk of the material was shot during last year's World Construct tour, but for various reasons the video wasn't completed until now. Also, we're very pleased to welcome Erik Jacobson (from the Gothenburg based Deals Death) as a stand-in guitarist while Niklas is busy with parental duties. Furthermore, our old brother Anders Iwers (Tiamat, Avatarium, Ceremonial Oath) is handling the bass guitar, making this a very special run. Hope to see as many of you as possible on the shows!

The album is titled Under The Red Cloud and the artwork is done by Valnoir Mortasonge," guitarist Esa Holopainen states. "Valnoir is well known from his works for Laibach, Paradise Lost, Watain, Behemoth and many more. It was a great pleasure to work with him as he catched the lyrical topics really well. Colors and details describe the music perfectly.
